Creative Designer

We are in the market for a proactive and engaging creative designer, to help lead on the execution of our creative output at Fettle. This is a part-time role for two days per week, with remote working accepted!

About fettle.

fettle is the UK’s fastest growing bike repair and service business. Part of the JustPark family, fettle was set up with the ambition to provide city wide networks of service locations across the whole of the UK. Our mission is to repurpose under-utilised spaces (warehouses, shops, car parks) so that we can offer a convenient place for bicycles of all forms to be serviced and repaired. Today, there are too few places for repairs and this problem will grow as more people use the trusty bicycle. 


We are hugely enthusiastic about cycling and care deeply about helping people to travel around inner-cities without harming the environment. Having successfully opened several London locations, we have big plans! The business is in hyper growth so this is a rare opportunity to join from the beginning and help shape our future.

Job Overview

This new position will be responsible for leading the creative output for the fettle brand. Specifically, you will lead the conceptual ideation, design, artwork and experience for all customer touchpoints. 


An exciting role in a dynamic and youthful start-up, the successful candidate will lead the brand’s visual design and creative expression - across our website, seasonal marketing campaigns, social media, experiential, workshop branding and all other channels.


Working in conjunction with the marketing manager and social media manager, you will collaborate on devising engaging creative ideas for the business and will lead all the design work for the brand in-line with its new identity. As our core booking platform, you will also have responsibility for ensuring the user experience online is seamless. 


The role is anticipated to be 2x days, roughly split as follows::


  • 1 x day designing, developing and optimising the website (currently in a drag & drop platform - open to being changed)

  • 1x day working on design briefs and creating assets to feed the marketing & social calendar (& for general design requirements across the business).


The candidate will have a large amount of autonomy and a real influence on the creative direction of the business. Thus, you must be self-starting, able to manage your own time efficiently, hands on, creatively driven and a designer who craves responsibility to lead this growing brand and how it ‘shows up’ with the lives of our audience.



Specific roles & responsibilities

  • Responsible for the look & feel of the website, working closely with the customer services & marketing team on ensuring the .cc website is continually optimised, refreshed with new web content, and changed in accordance with business changes.

  • Working hand in glove with the marketing manager on ideas to feed the overall marketing plan.

  • Working hand in glove with the social media manager authoring the content plan.

  • Leading the charge creating brand, social, advertising, experiential and CRM assets - for all our owned, earned and paid channels.

  • Proactively coming up with engaging creative ideas that are relevant to each channel and for our customers.

  • Bringing flair and creativity to all the brand’s design output to ensure we’re standing out from the crowd and never conforming to the category.

  • Supporting all the teams on copywriting for all assets and channels.

  • Ensuring the brand look / feel is applied throughout campaign periods and ensuring integration across all channels, while at the same time pushing these guidelines to keep the brand fresh.

  • Managing your time and workflow to ensure the right things are prioritised and expectations are managed.




  • 3-5 years experience in brand design (either agency or client side)

  • A track record of devising standout creative content and/or campaigns.

  • Experience creating & executing social content calendars

  • Very skilled across Adobe & Photoshop. 

  • A track record working with Wix (et al) building & optimising websites according to best practice.

  • You will be knowledgeable of a broad set of marketing and brand disciplines with experience in B2C businesses. This will include but not limited to promotional activation / advertising / marketing / PR / digital.

  • A fast worker but obsessed with craft. You are resilient, restless, energetic, can-doer

  • Multi-tasker. Must be able to fight fires while simultaneously doing 3 other things. 

  • Creative problem solver with excellent communication and influencing skills

  • A collaborative team player – concerned with team success as well as individual performance.

  • You will be results orientated and commercially astute.

  • Able to go beyond the brief to surprise and delight
