When Jeyda Heselton was working on mobility strategy at JustPark, she found herself asking a big question: if the future of inner cities isn’t cars, what takes their place?
The data was clear: bikes. Lots of them. But there was a snag. Bike shops were shutting at a rapid pace, and those that remained often left riders facing long waits, confusing jargon, and unexpected bills. For something as simple and joyful as riding a bike, the maintenance experience felt unnecessarily stressful.
That’s when Fettle was born.
From day one, our mission has been to reinvent how bike servicing works — stripping away the faff, shaking up outdated practices, and putting proper “service” back into servicing. We wanted to build a modern repair network that cyclists could genuinely trust, whether you ride an e-bike, a cargo bike, a road bike, or a rusty commuter.
We started with a single workshop in London and quickly grew into the UK’s fastest-growing bike repair network. The idea was simple but powerful: combine world-class mechanics with modern tech and a customer-first mindset.
In 2022, our journey took a big step forward when we joined forces with Kwik Fit, the UK’s leading automotive servicing and repair company. They’d spotted the same thing we had: bikes — especially electric and cargo bikes — are transforming how people and businesses move around cities. But without a reliable, consistent repair network, that shift would stall.
Together, we realised we could build something bigger. Not just a chain of bike workshops, but a new standard in cycle care — scalable, professional, and ready for the future of urban transport.
Today, Fettle is made up of a team of passionate mechanics and problem-solvers who believe that bike repair shouldn’t be a barrier to cycling — it should be the enabler. We’re on a mission to create a truly national network, making it easy for every rider to keep rolling, wherever they are.
For us, this isn’t just about fixing bikes. It’s about changing the role bikes play in everyday life — making commuting cleaner, deliveries smarter, and riding more accessible for everyone.
And we’re just getting started.
Join us on the ride.
